Mountains of Tongues is dedicated to preserving and promoting lesser known music from the Caucasus region.
We focus on music and its role in the everyday lives of people living in the region, with an intentional disregard for rigid notions of authenticty or genre; sounds from the intersection of the modern/traditional, the participatory/presentational, and the sacred/secular.
